Salt on the wound
Salt, deer horns
The first factor in the installation is the inherited horns, while the second factor is sea salt. the idea of establishing a relationship between these two motives arose from the well-known folk saying “salt on the wound”, whose basic meaning I examine and in this work I show my understanding of the same by translating it into visual language. I consider the inherited antlers of deer as the basic symbol of that animal, which came with its killing, I equate them with literall term of wounds, and translate them into a ready-made object. Salt, understood in the folk saying as an additional stimulus to pain, contrasts its basic cultural characteristics as a universal transformer of negative energy into positive
