Josip Jelenčić uses the medium of cyanotype print on canvas to show abstract forms deprived of concrete meanings and titles. The artist is refering to Cicero’s notion of Lorem ipsum – a randomly stacked text which precedes the structure of a certain work. Similarly, the artist treats cyanotype prints; like alternative Lorem ipsum texts, they become bases for the start of a pictorial interpretation and analysis.
