In Digital Drawings, Filip Radić explores transpositional possibilities of computer-generated images. Based on video game scenography layouts, primarily depictions of landscapes, Radić’s three-piece series is initially software generated and then finely printed on white paper.
The image in question is no longer framed inside a particular space, be it virtual or physical, rather, retaining the benefits of both: the cleanliness of computer-rendered environments, and the depth characteristic of etching arts. Due to this implicit dualism of the visual object, Radić’s Digital Drawings allude to a specific style between precisely detailed compositions or lighting and rigidly static nature motifs – “pixelated mountains and engraved trees”.
Filip Radić was born 1996 in Halmstad, Sweden. In 2022 graduated in painting at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek. Lives and works in Osijek
