Two depictions, a landscape and a flying balloon, are indicative for Milan Kujundžić which he understands as a tireless human exigency of submitting nature to his language system. In the work One for a breathless man, one for the observer an aspect of language and social conventions of aesthetics is examined or, more precisely: what would happen if we realized that things are beautiful simply because we think they are – because we assign them such a meaning? With that, the artist’s conception is reduced to a type of a synecdoche; the need for air is equivalent to a need for beauty.
